Prodigy Public Relations has elevated Taylor Shannon to Executive Vice President of its Film department nearly a decade into her time with the company.

In her new role, Shannon will oversee all strategic communications, campaign development, and client relations for the film division. She is based in Los Angeles.

“Taylor has earned this moment through years of exceptional leadership, sharp instincts, and an unwavering commitment to the people and projects she champions,” said the company’s CEO, Erik Bright. “Elevating Taylor to lead our film department isn’t just the right move for our clients, it’s the right move for our agency’s future. I couldn’t be more proud to watch her step into this role.”

Shannon brings over 10 years of experience in entertainment public relations, having spearheaded campaigns for major studio releases and independent films alike. She’s spent her entire entertainment career at Prodigy, having most recently served as senior publicist for six and a half years, after starting out as a publicity assistant.

While at Prodigy, Shannon has worked on titles including TIFF Midnight Madness selection The Furious, which will be released by Lionsgate later this year, James McAvoy’s California Schemin’, the SXSW dark comedy Kill Me with Charlie Day and Allison Williams, SXSW Midnighter Audience Award winner Never After Dark, the Sundance doc Skywalkers: A Love Story, and the Nicolas Cage thriller Mandy.

Recent Prodigy campaigns include Focus Features’ Black Bag starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbinder, Hamnet starring Jesse Buckley and Paul Mescal, Saban Entertainment’s In Cold Light starring Maika Monroe, Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Red Sonja, Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Cold Storage, and IFC’s Blackberry.
