Alan Ritchson is expanding his relationship with Amazon MGM Studios. The star and executive producer of Prime Video‘s hit series Reacher has signed a three-year first-look television deal with the studio via his production banner, Dancing Skeleton.
Under the deal, Ritchson will develop and produce new television shows for Prime Video.
Ritchson already has several projects in the pipeline with Amazon MGM Studios, including the upcoming fourth season of Reacher, in which he reprises his titular role and serves as an executive producer. The series was recently renewed for a fifth season ahead of its Season 4 premiere, and a Neagley spinoff of the hit series has been ordered by Prime Video. It stars Maria Sten, who will reprise her fan-favorite character from the mothership, Frances Neagley. Ritchson also is expected to appear on the spinoff as a guest star, reprising his role as Reacher.
“With the success of Reacher and our upcoming spinoff Neagley, it felt like a natural next step to continue our partnership with Prime Video as we focus on bringing top-tier episodic content to life. Reacher is just the beginning.”
A very busy Ritchson also stars in and executive produces Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming holiday family comedy The Man With The Bag, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. And he recently wrapped production on Amazon MGM Studios’ Untitled Mike Thornton Project from director Patrick Hughes, which he both headlined and produced.
Up next for Ritchson is the action noir Motor City, which he executive produced and stars in alongside Shailene Woodley and Ben Foster, set for a July 24 theatrical release. He also produced and stars opposite Owen Wilson in Runner, slated for a September 11 theatrical release.
Founded by Ritchson, Dancing Skeleton produces original film and television projects across all platforms, with a focus on high-impact, audience-driven storytelling from distinctive creative voices.
