Sean Combs failed in his frantic efforts to secure a Get Out Of Jail pardon from Donald Trump, but Diddy will now be exiting his cushy low security prison in New Jersey a little earlier than expected any how.

Sentenced to 50 months behind bars after a New York jury acquitted the Bad Boys Records founder innocent of sex trafficking and racketeering and found him guilty last year of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, Combs has seen his incarceration time go up and down like a hip hop sample. Now, with a decision on his fast tracked appeal looming, the ‘All About the Benjamins’ performer has seen his time cut way back from its extension at one point to June 2028.

Diddy is set right now to be let out of the Garden State’s FCI Fort Dix on February 23, 2028, according to the Bureau of Prisons. That’s the third cut in the Combs’ sentence in the past few months as it went to April 23 last fall and then more recently to April 15.

Offering no detailed info on Combs’ new release date, all the Federal Bureau of Prisons would say today is that “good conduct” can help an inmate get their time trimmed down. Contacted by Deadline, the fallen mini mogul’s reps had no comment on his new release date. Coming off last year’s trial full of tales of drug and booze fueled Freak Offs and alleged violence, Diddy is known to have completed a rehab program while inside.

Up against over 65 suits nationwide of sexual abuse, rape, career attacks and more, Combs has always insisted he may have had a bad temper and been rough with people but he is innocent of all claims.

Still, Combs is currently on tenterhooks about if it’ll be a Yea or Nay from the L.A Country District Attorney’s office on whether Nathan Hochman‘s team will pursue sexual assault and battery reports from the LAPD and the Sheriff’s department related to music producer Jonathan Hay.

If the D.A. does go forward with a case, it will be pivotal what kind of case it is and what kind of charges are on the docket.

Sexual battery can be either a felony or misdemeanor in California depending on context and the accused’s criminal history. Say, D.A. Hochman decided to press felony charges against Combs, the defendant could be sentenced to several years in a state prison if found guilty. On the other hand, if the D.A. charged Combs with a misdemeanor, the most the multiple Grammy winner would suffer is a maximum of six months behind bars and some five figure fines.

Which is another way of saying, while Diddy might be getting out of prison on the East Coast in just over a year and half, he could be looking at some serious West Coast time.
