EXCLUSIVE: Following the record-breaking launch of its first trailer, Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has scored another milestone as the film’s second trailer became the No. 2 biggest trailer launch of all time with 590.8M views in its first week.

This is according to WaveMetrix. The first trailer for the Tom Holland and Zendaya sequel made history as the biggest trailer launch of all time, becoming the first trailer to surpass 1 billion views in just four days.

The Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios movie will opening in theaters on July 31. Holland and Zendaya are already embarking on a global tour in Rome, Paris and more. We told you first that the first day advance ticket sales were the biggest for any movie in the last five years, meaning since 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home (that pic had $78M in presales before it opened).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

The pic also stars Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. It’s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes. Based on the Marvel comic book created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the film is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Rachel O’Connor. Louis D’Esposito and David Cain serve as executive producers.
