EXCLUSIVE: Inevitable Foundation is looking for its next cohort of Accelerate fellows.
The 2026 Accelerate Fellowship, which provides funding and mentorship to a group of disabled writers, is now accepting applications, Deadline can exclusively reveal. Once again supported by Netflix, this year’s program will offer a four-month writing sprint to five disabled writers to help bring their project to the next level.
The program will offer unrestricted funding, mentorship, workshops, and community support to disabled film and television writers who are writing films, television series, or digital-first series.
“We are thrilled that Inevitable’s longest-running program will support the largest cohort ever this year, providing disabled writers with the financial and career support they deserve given the rapidly-evolving state of the industry,” Inevitable Foundation co-founders Richie Siegel and Marisa Torelli-Pedevska said in a statement Thursday.
Accelerate Fellowship alums have written on Speechless, Dexter: Resurrection, and Sweet Magnolias, among others.
The Accelerate Fellowship has distributed nearly $700,000 to over 20 disabled writers since 2021. The 2026 program comes as Inevitable Foundation also celebrates its five-year anniversary. The organization has provided support to more than 150 disabled creatives and granted over $1.4M across all of its programs since inception.
Applications for the 2026 cohort of Accelerate close on June 17th. Applicants are encouraged to visit Inevitable’s official site to take the eligibility questionnaire and submit an application.
