This contestant is thrilled that she got to come on down to play The Price Is Right.

It’s going to be a happy Mother’s Day for Vanesa from Vermont, who shattered the record for biggest prize in a single pricing game in the 54-year history of CBS game show’s daytime edition. During Friday’s special Mother’s Day episode, she tamed “The Lion’s Share” game to the tune of $240,000-plus, scorching the old mark of $210,000 set a decade ago in a “Cliffhangers” game.

Host Drew Carey watched and emceed as Vanesa, a retired military veteran, coolly let it ride in the pricing game that debuted this season on TPIR. In “The Lion’s Share,” contestants guess the prices of grocery items to earn up to five balls. Each ball is then dropped into a wind tunnel, revealing a hidden prize amount. After each reveal, players must decide whether to walk away with their current winnings or risk it all to continue.

Vanesa didn’t hesitate and pushed forward through every round, at one point risking the $127,500 she had earned, saying, “The last two numbers are my daughter’s birthday — I have to go.” She then pointing at her kid in the crowd and said, “For you, baby.”

What she saw next was the second of four $100,000 balls hidden in the game. “Vanesa, we’re almost up to a quarter-million dollars,” Carey said as the contestant whooped and trembled. “More one ball to go.”

That last ball revealed a luxury “mother-daughter trip” to Morocco valued at $12,650, leaving Venesa a cool $240,150 richer (before taxes, natch).
