

























EXCLUSIVE: Veteran film publicist and marketing strategist April Elansari has launched Opening Day PR, a boutique film publicity firm that will offer strategic, filmmaker-first campaigns designed to elevate both theatrical and digital releases.
Services offered at Opening Day include national and regional media outreach, critic and review strategy, talent-driven press campaigns, and digital-first publicity initiatives designed to meet audiences where they are. As a founder-led practice, every campaign is overseen directly by Elansari from start to finish.

A campaign that not only reaches audiences, but resonates with them,” Elansari said. “Opening Day PR was created to give filmmakers and distributors a thoughtful, strategic partner—one that understands how to position a film for impact, whether it’s launching in theaters or reaching audiences digitally.”
Elansari brings over a decade of experience launching independent films across theatrical and digital platforms. She previously served as Director of Publicity and Marketing at Gravitas Ventures, where she led national campaigns for a high-volume slate of releases. She also served as a theatrical marketing consultant for Cineverse, supporting release strategies and campaign execution across its limited theatrical release slate. Her prior experience also includes roles at Allied Global Marketing and Falco Ink., where she specialized in national publicity campaigns and talent-driven initiatives.
