EXCLUSIVE: Fifth Season is headed into the LA Screenings on board Recap, the indie television series starring Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles.

International distribution rights to the series from Kimberly Steward’s K Period Media have gone to Fifth Season, which has shared a first-look image with Deadline that you can see above. We revealed news of the series in November 2025, as the independently-financed revolution in scripted TV making kept up apace.

Recap is billed as high-concept psychological and mystery thriller series from Adam Glass (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders), Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) and Justin S. Lee (Resident Evil), with Glass and Dab the showrunners.

Plot follows Morley (Stoll), who wakes up with every morning with no memory of the day before — only a video recap to remind them who they are. Living isolated on a remote farm, they follow strict rules to survive, until a terrifying encounter forces them to question everything they thought they knew about survival, family, and themselves.

Richard Shepard executive produces and directs all episodes, with Steward and Alex Foster also serving as executive producers. JD Pardo (Mayans M.C.), Laya DeLeon Hayes (The Equalizer) and Cole Tristan Murphy (The Holdovers) star as series regulars, with Jane Levy (Suburgatory) and Donal Logue (Gotham) guesting.

The show will form part of Fifth Season’s LA Screenings slate alongside ITV crime thriller The Blame, starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth; a reimagining of Treasure Island from Playground Entertainment; Killing Eve spin-off Honey, the Cold War drama following a young MI6 agent undercover in East Berlin that Sid Gentle is making for the BBC and ZDF; and The Night Manager Hong Kong, the Chinese adaptation of the original sleek espionage thriller.
