The NFL‘s 2026 schedule will be unveiled later today, but the Los Angeles Rams have some news of their own in the meantime. CBS LA revealed Thursday that it is the new local TV partner for the club, taking over from ABC7.
It’s a homecoming of sorts as Channel 2 was the SoCal outlet for the team when it moved back to Los Angeles from St. Louis for the 2016 season.
The deal brings exclusive Southern California broadcasts of Rams preseason games to CBS LA, along with a slate of weekly year-round programming, including a coaches show featuring head coach Sean McVay and original Rams content available exclusively across CBS LA platforms.
“With nearly 90 hours of news and sports programming every week, CBS LA is uniquely positioned to deliver more Rams coverage than any other media outlet in the market,” said Tim Wieland, regional president and general manager of CBS LA. “This partnership is about serving fans, celebrating Los Angeles and extending our shared commitment to the community.”

Added Rams president Kevin Demoff: “CBS LA partnered with us in 2016 when we returned to Los Angeles and helped reintroduce our organization to this city. This partnership will enable us to deepen our connection with Angelenos through CBS’ dynamic programming as well as shared efforts that will make an impact on the community we all call home.”
The announcement comes amid a slew of NFL-related TV news this week. Netflix said during its upfront presentation Wednesday in New York that it has added three games for the upcoming season as part of a four-year rights extension. That came a day after Disney issued a slew of league-related announcements at its upfront. During their presentations to advertisers on Monday, NBC said it added another Week 17 game to its NFL package, and Fox got two more regular-season matchups including an international game.
