The Match Factory Locks Distribution Deals On Cannes Titl...

The Match Factory has reported multiple distribution deals on its Cannes slate. 

Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland has sold to Scandinavia (Nonstop Entertainment), Greece (Spentzos Film), Japan (GAGA), South Korea (Challan), Taiwan (Andrews Film), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Bulgaria (Cinelibri), Former Yugoslavia (MCF MegaCom), Hungary (Vertigo Media), Czech Republic and Slovakia (Zero Gravity), Ukraine (Arthouse Traffic), MENA (Gulf Film), Portugal (Nitrato), Hong Kong (Edko Films), Romania (Transilvania Film) and the Baltics (Kino Pavasaris). 

Mubi will handle the film’s distribution in North America, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, and India. The company has said it will partner on releases with Cinéart (Benelux), Cineplex (Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Central America), Maco Cine (Argentina and Uruguay), and Madman Entertainment (Australia and New Zealand). 

In Poland, the film will be distributed by Kino Świat, and in France by Pathé. Neue Visionen will release the film in Germany and Polyfilm in Austria.

Lukas Dhont’s Coward has sold to Switzerland (Filmcoopi), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Camera (Denmark), Triart (Sweden), Selmer (Norway), Future Film (Finland), Former Yugoslavia (MCF MegaCom), Hungary (Cirko Film), the Baltics (A-One Film), Greece (Cinobo), South Korea (Challan), Thailand (Sahamongkol Film), Japan (The Klockworx), Czech Republic & Slovakia (Pilot Film), Taiwan (Hooray Films), Portugal (Alambique), Poland (So Film / Cinobo), Hong Kong (Edko Films), Indonesia (PT Falcon), and Romania (Transilvania Film). 

Mubi will handle distribution in North America, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Mexico and Turkey. The company will partner on releases with Filmladen (Austria), Cineplex (Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Central America), Maco Cine (Argentina and Uruguay), and Madman Entertainment (Australia and New Zealand).

Lumière will distribute the film in the Benelux with a theatrical release scheduled for October 21 in Belgium. Diaphana will open the film in France in November.

Valeska Grisebach’s The Dreamed Adventure has sold to the Baltics (A-One Film), Switzerland (Trigon Film), Greece (Ama Films), and Indonesia (PT Falcon). Haut et Court will release the film in France on July 15, and in Germany, the film will be released by Piffl in the second half of 2026. Janus has North American rights. 

Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma has sold to Greece (Weirdwave), Czech Republic & Slovakia (Zero Gravity), Poland (Velvet Spoon), Taiwan (Hooray Films), Scandinavia (Nonstop Entertainment) and Portugal (No Comboio). Mubi will release the film in US theatres on August 7, and is distributing in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Mexico. 

Mubi will be partnering with Cinéart (Benelux), Filmladen (Austria), Filmcoopi (Switzerland), Cineplex (Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Central America), Maco Cine (Argentina and Uruguay), Retrato Filmes (Brazil), and Madman Entertainment (Australia and New Zealand) on the film.
