Produced by The Crown maker Left Bank, Dept. Q has been one of Netflix’s biggest hits outside the U.S. in recent years.

Based on the Jussi Adler-Olsen novels, Dept. Q comes from writer-director Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit, Godless) and is exec produced by Frank, Rob Bullock and Charlotte Moore, the latter’s first big project since joining Left Bank from the BBC. Manda Levin and Jessica Burdett will oversee for Netflix.

Bullock said: “This season, Carl and his band of misfits tackle a terrible crime hidden in the highest echelons of Scottish society. It is a story for our times: rich and powerful people who believe they are above the law.  Carl, of course, knows otherwise.”
