AMC is getting back into the after show business.
The network is launching The Vampire Lestat: After Dark, a companion show for its Interview with the Vampire series.
The series, which will feature interviews with cast and crew, will debut on Sunday May 24 ahead of its premiere on June 7.
This comes after AMC used to host companion shows such as Talking Dead and Talking Bad for its hit series such as The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.
The Vampire Lestat: After Dark is a half-hour series hosted by Lizzie Bassett (What Went Wrong). It will feature interviews with stars including Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Delainey Hayles as well as exec producers Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones, who also serves as showrunner.
Episodes will roll out weekly on AMC+ and will also be made available on podcast platforms. Select episodes of The Vampire Lestat: After Dark will air on AMC, including the preview episode on Sunday, May 31, the season premiere on Sunday, June 7 and season finale on Sunday, July 19.
The Vampire Lestat: After Dark is produced by School of Humans and AMC Studios. Executive producers include Jones, Johnson, Reid, Anderson, Hayles, as well as LC Crowley, Brandon Barr, Ben Franzen, Adam O’Byrne and showrunner Joe Randazzo.
This comes as Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire is turning into The Vampire Lestat for season three as it focuses on the second book in her Vampire Chronicles series
“We’re thrilled to introduce this must-watch companion show for The Vampire Lestat, a series that has truly captivated a loyal and passionate fan base,” said Ben Davis, EVP of Scripted Programming for AMC Global Media. “After Dark is designed to enrich the viewing experience, with a deep dive into the lore of the show and behind-the-scenes insights from the cast and producers that pull back the curtain on the stories, characters and moments that define this upcoming season.”
