Andy Cohen is giving more insight into the Summer House Season 10 reunion and the subsequent audio leak.
On his SiriusXM show, the Watch What Happens Live host called the reunion one of the “most emotional” ones he’s ever shot.
“It was one of the most emotionally draining … there were so many emotions on that stage. Deep anger, deep hurt,” Cohen said on Radio Andy.
He continued, “It really has caused shock waves through the group in ways that even I didn’t realize until I sat there looking in the faces and hearing from some of these housemates. It was very intense.”
Cohen said that when he woke up the next day, he went online and saw that the Summer House reunion had leaked, and he was mad about the situation.
“I just thought, ‘Wow, here this cast, they all showed up and they all laid themselves totally barren,’ and just a leak,” he said. “It just totally demeans the work of this crew and this cast and especially again, just all of them for just showing up and sitting there and taking it.”
Going on social media, Cohen said he saw a lot of people blaming the Summer House cast members for the leaks which he called “dumb takes,” adding, “I was like, ‘This is stupid,’ and I love this cast and I just, I was like, ‘Oh, now people are blaming this cast,’ and then I will say, I felt so bad in the next 24 hours after that, that the cast was like, ‘I,’ you know, feeling the need to come out and say, ‘I didn’t do it. I didn’t leak it,’ So I was like, ‘Oh.’ I was so mad.”
On Sunday, Bravo released a statement following their investigation into the matter and “concluded that the audio was an unauthorized recording and distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion.” The network said that “appropriate action has been taken” and denied any cast member was involved in the leak.
Cohen noted that it was a Bravo fan who “cracked the case” and “delivered crucial information” that led the network to identify the leaker.
