Prince Harry is said to have very badly effected Prince William’s sentiments, so much so that a former employee warns the heir is nothing short of ‘irritated’ with his brother for ‘damaging’ things he values most from his time as a young prince.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold is that ex-employee in question and he’s spoken on behalf of OLBG, about what the Firm really is, behind the frills of family loyalty and walk-abouts.
According to Mr Harrold, “the reality is that we know the royal family is a firm, it is a system, things are done in a very specific way.”
Its also well known at this point that their schedules and diaries are planned months in advance,” with each day “very regulated” by engagements and appointments. As he puts it, “it is without question a system more than a family at times.”
However, its also true that its not a jail cell, and “the reality today is that you can walk away from it, as Harry and Meghan have shown,” Mr Harrld pointed out.
That is why he feels Prince William’s anger is bubbling rapidly,” and “when previously Harry said that he felt trapped, I guess that may have irritated William.” After all he is “in a different position to his brother as the heir to the throne.” So “if William did what Harry did it would have been a massive constitutional crisis.”
Moreover, its said “William will also has very fond memories of growing up within the royal family. When I worked with the family in their late teens and early twenties, it was a world William and Harry were both very happy to be in and given as normal a life as possible.”
“So to hear Harry say that may have damaged some lovely memories for William,” he added too before signing off.
