A surprising twist is in store as Manchester City challenges Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, with both sides looking to end a two-year dry spell in soccer’s oldest knockout competition. 

City enters the match for claiming the title after losing the last two consecutive finals to Manchester United and Crystal Palace, having last won the trophy in 2023.

For those unversed, this marks a record fourth consecutive final for Prep Guariola’s team, as he is seen involved in a heated argument debate for a trophy already secured by the English League Cup. 

It is pertinent to note that City also sit second in the Premier League by challenging with just two points with just two rounds remaining.

City faces a chaotic Chelsea side at Wembley, following a turbulent season that has seen the Club World Cup champion fire two coaches since the start of the year despite their  World Cup status.

At present, Chelsea are relying on interim coach Calum McFarlane to try to end their campaign on a high note. Meanwhile, a victory achieved by Guardiola was an incredible win with his 17th major trophy with City and claiming his overall 35th position.
