Meta gives relief to employees after unveiling a major announcement recently.
Social media and tech giant Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, told employees in an internal memo on Wednesday that he does not expect more company-wide layoffs this year, according to a copy of the memo seen by Reuters.
The news follows a latest management structural change after Meta carried out a significant restructuring move.
He made the announcement on the same day the Facebook owner carried out a massive restructuring of the company.
It reduced its workforce by about 10% globally, while also shifting around 7,000 employees into new roles focused on artificial intelligence and automation-related projects.
Some jobs were eliminated, but many employees were also reassigned rather than fully removed from the company.
Overall, the situation reflects a broader shift inside Meta: cutting costs and reorganizing teams while increasing its focus on AI development and AI-driven workflows.
