US TV anchor Savannah Guthrie got emotional as she reunited with a very special person in her life on the sets of Today show.
On Monday, April 13, Savannah reunited with her former costar Hoda Kotb to host Today together for the first time in over a year.
Kotb joined Savannah to fill in for co-host Craig Melvin, who will miss a week of shows as he enjoys a "well-deserved vacation with his family."
They reunited at Studio 1A in Rockefeller Center.
Savannah said, "Hi, everybody, good morning and welcome to Today. Nice to have you with us on a Monday morning."
Savannah, who returned to the show on April 6, placed her hand on Kotb's arm, saying "I’m so glad to have you here, Hoda!"
Kotb replied, "I’m so happy sitting next to you in this chair again."
Over this Guthrie noted, "Yeah, it’s good. It’s just like the old times!"
Savannah and Kotb last co-hosted Today on January 10, 2025.
Meanwhile, in her first interview with Hoda Kotb that aired on TODAY March 26 nearly two months after her mother went missing, Savannah Guthrie recalled the “chaos and disbelief” of learning her mother had gone missing from her home.
Savannah tells Hoda about when she got the call from her sister that her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was missing more than eight weeks ago. “She was in a panic,” she said. “I was in a panic.”
