King Charles has been issued a stark warning over making a ‘serious mistake’ and his elder son Prince William is also expected to follow in the monarch’s footsteps when the Prince of Wales becomes the King.

The warning has come from royal expert Richard Eden in the latest issue of the Daily Mail’s “Palace Confidential” newsletter.

The royal expert said the renovations on Buckingham Palace are due to be completed next year, however, King Charles is making ‘grave mistake’ by not moving into the royal house.

Citing the royal insider, he wrote “Buckingham Palace will be used for royal events but the King and Queen won’t sleep there.”

The expert said he was “worried for the future of the monarchy.”

Eden warned, “Churchill knew the symbolic power of the Queen being at the nation’s home. For King Charles to abandon it at a time of peace would be a serious mistake.”

The royal expert also quoted Nicky Haslam—an interior decorator and friend of the Royal Family— “Turning Buckingham Palace into an office is wrong. It will have no magic.”

Eden also quoted Nicky Haslam as claiming “William won't use it either. It stops Buckingham Palace being the jewel in the crown.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton relocated to Windsor in 2022 and have since moved to Forest Lodge, a sprawling estate located in Windsor Great Park.

The Prince and Princess of Wales made it clear at the time they have no intentions of ever moving back to London.
