Sheriff Chris Nanos, who is handling the disappearance of US TV anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy, has confirmed that their team is deliberately “keeping secrets” from the public on the case.
According to a report by the OK! Magazine, when asked about the alleged “secrets,” Nanos said “Yes, absolutely there are. But it’s not done because we got [to] keep it a secret. It’s done because we got to protect our case.”
The police officer further said, “I believe, at some point in time, we will make an arrest on this case.”
“And whoever that individual is, that individual will have a right to a fair and impartial trial. We continue to work with our labs, whether it’s on the digital end or the biological end, with DNA,” Nanos said.
Earlier, he had said that the case hinged heavily on “digital evidence,” and the team is going through “thousands and thousands” of files, apart from concentrating on 13,000+ tips that have come in from the public.
Savannah’s mother was abducted on February 1, and her search is continuing after passing of 100 days.
The police officer’s statement has raised a serious question whether Savannah is aware of the ‘secrets’ in Nancy case, or like other people, she is deliberately kept away from these.
Sheriff Chris Nanos statement came days after Savannah marked Mother’s Day with a heartfelt social media post.
