'The Boys' finale: Angry reactions over 'Gen V' less screentime

The Boys, during its run, introduced a separate group of supes into a spin-off show called Gen V.

Though it was axed after season two.

However, its storyline interlinked with The Boys' broader plot.

Yet, as The Boys came to an end, supes of Gen V were featured in the show.

But with a screen time of less than ten minutes.

Some fans are frustrated over this decision by the series makers.

Venting their anger on social media, a social media user wrote, "Eric Kripke brought the Gen V cast to the final season of #TheBoys for absolutely NOTHING."

"They were only there to give a little push to Starlight's storyline; that's it."

Another added, "The nonsense of watching Gen V's season 2 just because it'll affect The Boys' universe."

'The Boys' boss responds to Marie Moreau not taking on Homelander

Before The Boys last season ended, fans asked why Marie Moreau, a powerful supe in Gen V, cannot take a swing at Homelander.

Eric Kripke, who created the show, answered that in a recent interview with TVLine.

"She has all of this power, and everyone online is like, 'Well, why doesn’t she just go take on Homelander? ’"

"I’m like, 'She’s a 19-year-old kid! She has no idea how to wield any of it in any sort of responsible, controlled way.'"

"The fact that she's super powerful, which she is, does not mean she's automatically ready for every single conflict, much less one as big as Homelander."

"It could be quite dangerous and destructive, and it could lead to a lot of collateral damage and casualties if she can't control it, so she still has a long road to go," he concluded.
