64GB of DDR5 RAM is a staggering $216 in this latest Newe...

Newegg bundle

This has been a good week for much-needed deals and discounts on precious memory for our beloved PCs. Newegg has hosted a bunch of combo deals that have been selling out fast, but luckily, new ones have been arriving to fill the gaps, often mixing in a different component. Today’s absolute gem of a deal gives you the start of a fantastically powerful gaming PC for just $939. It features a whopping 64GB of G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series DDR5-6000 RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, MSI Pro X870-P WiFi motherboard, Corsair 3500X RS-R ARGB mid-tower PC case, MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240mm AIO cooler, and a copy of the new Crimson Desert game.

● Grab this deal at Newegg

For an idea of value, the 64GB of G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series DDR5-6000 RAM alone is priced at a hefty (albeit inflated) $884.99 at Newegg and is the new norm when it comes to memory pricing in the current market. But when stacked in a combo deal like today’s, if you add the value of the other components together, and subtract them from the $939 price tag, the 64GB of RAM works out at a staggeringly low $216; that’s a big difference from $884.99, in fact, it’s a 75% saving and cheaper than buying 32GB by itself.

Included in today’s Newegg bundle is MSI's Pro X870-P motherboard, an ATX-sized board that supports a host of AMD desktop processors, from the Ryzen 9000-series to the 7000-series processors. The motherboard has DDR5 memory boost, with 8200-plus MT/s supported when overclocked, Wi-Fi 7, and 5G LAN. There are three M.2 slots onboard, with one of them being PCIe 5.0 x4 and the other two PCIe 4.0 x4. Plenty of USB ports are included on the rear IO plate, featuring a high-bandwidth 40Gbps USB4 Type-C connector. It’s an interesting silver color, but it might not be to everyone’s taste.

The G.Skill DDR5-6000 Ripjaws S5 memory kit comes in 2 x 32GB for a total of 64GB. This is more than enough for a gaming PC, and even a good amount of RAM for starting to play with applications like Blender. Subdued low-profile heatspreaders make it ideal for RAM that might have to squeeze in under a large cooler, and reasonably tight timings of 36-36-96, with a CAS latency of CL36, help to provide higher framerates.

Corsair’s 3500X RS-R ARGB mid-tower PC case is an attractive mid-tower ATX case with tinted tempered glass panels, letting you see into the case, but also diffusing any RGB lighting you may want to place inside. The case comes with 3 x pre-installed Corsair RS120-R ARGB fans with space to install up to 10 x 120mm fans total. Extra features include a GPU anti-sag bracket and compatibility with the most recent reverse-connector motherboards.

Let’s not underplay the inclusion of one of the best gaming CPUs - the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This processor is an absolute beast when it comes to pure gaming prowess, thanks to its huge 3D V-Cache. The 8-core, 16-thread processor has a base clock of 4.6 GHz and a max boost of 5.2 GHz, and outperforms almost every other CPU at 1080p resolutions. Make sure you match it with an appropriate graphics card to get the most out of a gaming PC build.

If you would prefer a clean white PC gaming build, then this earlier Newegg bundle that we covered has also come back into stock this morning. It is, however, a few hundred dollars more expensive, but alternate colors to black PC parts have always traditionally been more expensive. Featuring a similar bundle of components, this combo combines the same 9800X3D CPU and Corsair 3500X RS-R case with an MSI MPG X870E Edge Ti WiFi motherboard, and 64GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6400 RAM for $1175.99. By the same value proposition, the RAM in this bundle is $266, so still a great saving.

Don't forget the free gifts in the bundle either, there's an MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240mm liquid AIO CPU cooler included. A twin fan cooler with a minimalist design and some ARGB lighting. Plus a copy of the recently released Korean RPG game Crimson Desert.
