Building a PC in 2026 is a daunting prospect thanks to a massive AI price crunch on SSDs and RAM, but if you know where to look, you can still build a decent gaming PC without blowing your whole budget on 32GB of DDR5. Right now, at Newegg, you can get 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 for the relative price of just $240 when paired with an Asus ROG Strix motherboard, in this $639 bundle. That's a saving of $245 on the list price of this RAM, and crucially it's a lot cheaper than the $369 going rate for RAM right now.

The Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Wi-Fi motherboard has a list price of $399, so subtracting that from the overall cost of the bundle means you're paying a relative price of $240 for the RAM. It's certainly not 2025 prices, but this is the new norm for RAM, unfortunately. Right now, this is the cheapest RAM on the market.

We reviewed the Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi last year and gave it a very commendable four-star rating. We liked its extensive connectivity, including lots of USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as its array of PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots. While we certainly thought it was worth the $500 price tag, that's a lot to pay for a motherboard, so the $399 list price here as part of the bundle makes it all the more palatable.

Of course, that's not necessarily what 32GB of DDR5 is worth, but it is what companies are charging right now, making any savings you can get on RAM a precious thing. If you want to save even more. This $499 bundle contains the same RAM but a cheaper X870 motherboard. As such, the RAM's relative price is a little higher at $270, but the cost overall is much less.
