This documentary commemorating the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme covers a lot of ground in half an hour. It’s a family history, a battlefield tour and an insight into modern tensions in presenter Jordan Dunbar’s native Belfast. Back to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for more slightly idealised but seductive family farming fun. It’s summer, and shepherd Amanda’s kids are enjoying wholesome countryside pursuits including river swimming and searching for peacock chicks. However, there are more serious challenges for the adults as a vital bridge threatens to collapse. PH

This celeb version of the square-eyed series is the opposite of appointment TV: the kind of show you would never make a point of watching but are happy to land upon. This time, the couch potatoes include Rylan and his mum, Mo Gilligan and Babátúndé Aléshé, and, of course, Bez and Shaun. PH

It’s not quite The Office (UK or US), but this medical mockumentary is more solid than its graveyard slot might indicate. As season two concludes, Joyce hosts a ceremony to open the hospital’s new and very unfortunately named White Women’s Birthing Centre, before doctor Ron undergoes an operation of his own.
