An escaped tiger believed to belong to Germany’s “Tiger Queen” was shot dead by police after attacking one of its keepers near the German city of Leipzig.
Police said a 72-year-old man was seriously injured during the attack on Sunday while inside the animal’s enclosure at a privately owned facility on the outskirts of the city, News.Az reports, citing BBC.
That the tiger escaped from the enclosure shortly after the attack and was later found by armed police officers, who shot and killed the animal to remove any danger to the public.
