US President Donald Trump has said he plans to visit Türkiye and China as part of his foreign travel schedule this year, News.az reports.
“We travel a lot. We are going to Türkiye. We will also return to China during the year,” Trump said while speaking at Joint Base Andrews near Washington.
The statement comes ahead of the NATO Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Ankara on July 7–8.
Trump’s planned visit to Türkiye is expected to draw significant attention, as the summit will bring together NATO leaders at a time of heightened international tensions and growing debate over the future role of the alliance.
His remarks also signal that Washington is preparing for renewed high-level engagement with Beijing later this year.
