Iran has started cutting oil production to prevent storage facilities from reaching full capacity amid a U.S.-imposed maritime blockade.
Tehran took this step before its storage tanks became completely full, News.Az reports, citing CNBC.
It is noted that Iranian engineers are capable of temporarily shutting down wells without causing damage and can later restore production.
