Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said the European Political Community (EPC) format plays a crucial role in advancing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the EPC summit in Yerevan, Pashinyan described the platform as “very, very important” for regional stability and the peace process, News.Az reports, citing local media.
He referred to the first EPC summit in 2022 in Prague, where a quadrilateral meeting was organized by French President Emmanuel Macron and European Council President Charles Michel. At that meeting, Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reportedly reached what he called a “game-changing decision.”
According to Pashinyan, both sides recognized each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty based on the 1991 Almaty Declaration, marking a key step in diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
