UISCE ÉIREANN SAID it hopes to repair a “major” burst water main in Dublin City by 2am.
Its crews are working to repair a burst on Harcourt Road in Dublin City and restore water to customers affected.
Uisce Éireann has said “every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible” to customers in Camden St, Clanbrassil St, Harcourt St, and the South Circular Road.
A spokesperson said Uisce Éireann “acknowledges the difficulties created by unplanned outages, particularly given the current warm weather”.
“We want to assure impacted customers that our crews will work as quickly as possible to repair the burst and restore normal supply.”
Repair efforts are underway and are expected to be completed by 2am tonight, 26 June.
Traffic management will be in place and clearly signposted.
Meanwhile, it usually takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
