BLOOM, IRELAND’S BIGGEST gardening and food festival, gets underway this morning in its 20th year.
Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the event in Dublin’s Phoenix Park over the next five days. Visitors will get the chance to see 20 headline show gardens, as well as food stalls, shopping stands, a ‘wellness village’, a plant showcase and a series of talks.
The festival has grown over the years, and so has the price of a ticket. Back in 2019, an adult ticket would set you back €20 if bought in advance, and €25 at the gate.
This year, including a booking fee, an adult ticket comes in at €39.40, while a concession ticket for students or those aged over 65 is €33.75. Two children go free with each adult ticket, with a ticket for an additional child costing €5.50.
So today, we’re asking: Would you pay €40 to visit Bloom?
