A TEENAGE GIRL died in the water off Burrow Beach near Howth in Co Dublin on Sunday.
Gardaí said they assisted the Coast Guard in a search operation at Howth.
“The body of a female juvenile teen was removed from the water at Burrow Beach by the Coast Guard. The body has been removed from the scene,” a garda spokesperson said.
There was a significant garda and coast guard response that included the deployment of a coast guard helicopter.
The Journal understands the girl’s death is being treated as a tragic incident and that no foul play is suspected.
