In our 2019 study on the State of Personalization Maturity, 96% of global marketers and executives claimed to believe in the value and benefits of taking an individualized approach to the customer experience. However, despite its increasing importance, 38% of marketers and executives claimed personalization technology was not currently a part of their stack. A crucial component of being able to deploy truly tailored experiences, oftentimes, one of the main challenges we see holding organizations back from implementing personalization lies in the difficulty met with integration.

Understanding this can take a significant amount of time and resources, Dynamic Yield is dedicated to ensuring the connection between various tools businesses use on a day-to-day basis is as easy as possible. The inner-workings of Dynamic Yield’s SFRA cartridge

Recently, Salesforce unveiled a new Commerce Cloud architecture. SFRA, short for Storefront Reference Architecture, combines best practices in site design a well as tools for merchants to build sites with a mobile-first approach in mind.

Compatible with the new architecture, our SRFA cartridge significantly cuts down integration efforts, increases the quality of the integration, and immediately enables the full power of Dynamic Yield’s platform, from our product recommendation engine, A/B testing and optimization features, and behavioral messaging capabilities. 

Covered from end-to-end, implementation of ​Dynamic​ ​Yield’s​ ​eCommerce​ ​solution includes: 

Dynamic Yield tracking script implementation – Gathers online user activity and renders all experiments and experiences defined within the Dynamic Yield account.

Context API implementation – Informs Dynamic Yield of the types of pages visited by each user for automatic optimization based on browsing patterns.

eCommerce events implementation – Notifies Dynamic Yield of important transactional activity performed by each visitor, such as adding an item to the cart.

Product catalog integration – Continuously synchronizes the entire Salesforce Commerce Cloud store inventory with Dynamic Yield in real time.

Because Dynamic Yield’s SFRA cartridge captures each visitor’s behavior, marketers can segment and personalize experiences in real-time, creating a number of opportunities to enhance product discovery on places like the homepage.

Often the initial point of entry for shoppers, marketers are able to optimize elements such as the navigation menu, content banners, and product recommendations according to the user. 

For anonymous visitors, this can mean automatically serving the best performing experiences, while returning visitors receive those catered to the interests and affinities previously displayed.

Incentivize purchases with free shipping thresholds

Every Salesforce Commerce Cloud event is automatically sent to Dynamic Yield, including important transactional actions such as when a shopper adds an item to the cart. With this level of visibility, marketers can better action user cart value and deploy messaging that communicates the dollar amount they need to reach in order to qualify for free shipping.

Additionally, marketers can take advantage of our SRFA cartridge’s product catalog integration to insert products priced to help shoppers meet free shipping thresholds within recommendation trays on the cart page. As the feed is constantly being updated, there’s no concern about price discrepancies, only the joy of higher cart values.
