TECNO Launches Spark 50 4G Featuring 7,000 mAh Battery An...

TECNO has officially expanded its entry-level lineup with the debut of the Spark 50 4G. Arriving shortly after its 5G counterpart, this new model prioritizes extreme battery endurance and specialized communication features tailored for users in regions with inconsistent network coverage.

Design and Durability

The Spark 50 4G adopts a distinct aesthetic, featuring a rear camera layout inspired by contemporary flagship designs. It is available in five colors: Blue, Grey, Black, Purple, and Pink. To enhance longevity, the device includes an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and has earned an SGS 5-star certification, indicating it can withstand drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters.

Under the hood, the smarphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset. Consumers can choose between 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB of RAM, paired with either 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. While positioned as a basic device for daily tasks, it features a high-end 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. Notably, the device also includes stereo speakers, a feature often omitted in this price segment.

The standout hardware feature is the massive 7,000 mAh battery. While it supports 18 W charging—which may result in longer charge times given the capacity—it promises multi-day autonomy.

Complementing the hardware is the FreeLink 2.0 technology. This proprietary system enables direct device-to-device communication over distances of up to 1.5 km without requiring Wi-Fi or cellular signals. This feature is particularly useful for users in remote areas, provided they are communicating with another compatible TECNO device.

The Spark 50 4G runs on Android 16 with the HiOS 16 interface. Additional features include an infrared blaster for remote control functionality, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and standard 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. While pricing has not yet been finalized, the device is expected to reach global markets in the coming days.
