The company’s most significant recent development came at MemoryS 2026 in China, where PetaIO unveiled its PCIe Gen6 NVMe SSD roadmap. The new platform incorporates PCIe 6.0 and AI technology integration alongside CXL 3.0 support, targeting data center deployments and built on a new controller architecture.Central to the announcement is the Titanium Himalaya controller. Fabricated on a 6nm process node, PetaIO describes it as delivering sequential read throughput exceeding 28 GB/s, purpose-built for AI inference and vector retrieval workloads. The company also claims random read performance reaching 50 million IOPS at 512-byte block sizes and latency as low as 2.7µs.
