This year’s first Grand Tour kicks off on May 8. Here’s where to livestream the three-week race without cable

Professional cycling’s first Grand Tour arrives this week with the start of the 2026 Giro d’Italia. The three-week race starts in Nessebar, Bulgaria, on May 8 and ends in Rome on May 31 after winding through some of the most grueling climbs in professional cycling.

The last three winners — Simon Yates (2025), Tadej Pogacar (2024), and Primoz Roglic (2023) — will not be competing in this year’s Italian Grand Tour, leaving the field wide open. Two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard is the current favorite, despite this being his first year competing in the Giro d’Italia.

Where to Watch the 2026 Giro d’Italia Online

The 2026 Giro d’Italia will be broadcast in the United States on TruTV with livestreams available on HBO Max. Fans without cable can watch on HBO Max or on a live TV streaming service that carries TruTV. Here’s a breakdown of the best options, including some with free trials:

DirecTV carries TruTV in its MySports, Choice, Ultimate, and Premier packages. Unlike HBO Max, DirecTV offers a free trial (five days) that you can use to stream the Giro d’Italia for free for a limited time. Packages with TruTV start at $64.99 a month, but all of them come with an introductory discount that lasts between two and 24 months.
