The singer-songwriter performed tracks from her stunning album Big Buskin’ on the desert stage

“It feels like home out here, I came all the way from Georgia,” said Ink, born Atia Boggs to a military mom in Germany and raised in Georgia, as she introduced herself to the Stagecoach crowd on Sunday.

The singer-songwriter made her debut at the country music festival and delivered an outstanding performance for the event’s final day. Ink played several tracks from her EP Big Buskin’, a tribute to her early days playing for change around Atlanta, including “God’s Been Drinkin'” and “Hoedown.”

Dressed in a studded black leather vest and pants cloaked in fringe with a turquoise necklace and bracelet, Ink shone underneath the afternoon sun. She gave a heartfelt performance of her debut single, “Turquoise Cowboy,” and afterwards soaked in the moment while reflecting on her journey, saying, “Now I’m out at Stagecoach with ya’ll, living my dream!”

The 39-year-old songwriter, who’s also a musician and producer, has collaborated with some of the top artists in music, crossing and reinventing genres with ease. At this year’s Grammy Awards, she received a nomination for cowriting “Luther” on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, and at the 2025 awards, where Beyonce’s massive album Cowboy Carter — for which she co-wrote “Texas Hold ‘Em,” “Sixteen Carriages,” and “Ameriican Requiem” — was named Album of the Year.

Last October, Ink rewrote the rules of country music with Big Buskin’. Now, she’s readying a full country album. During a recent appearance on Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast (she also performed at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase at SXSW), Ink discussed country music and how it resonates with music lovers.

“So many people worry about what is and what isn’t country. We worry about labels and forget about the substance, the real thing, what’s in the container,” she said. “People from all walks of life are loving this genre. I stand with good music. It don’t matter where you’re from, what you’re doing, what you own, as long as you represent it right.”
