TRACK STAR

The driver 'carries the energy of the collection -- effortless, sporty and luxury without trying too hard,' designer Doni Nahmias says

Formula 1 is currently in the middle of the circuit’s 2026 spring break, but Ferrari star Charles Leclerc is keeping busy off the track with a new campaign for PUMA.

The F1 driver stars as the face of the new PUMA x Nahmias collection, which combines the athleticism of the sporting brand and Nahmias‘ laid-back West Coast roots, with the “speed and style of motorsport.” The collection includes a racing-inspired take on the PUMA Speedcat sneaker, along with a tracksuit, jersey and T-shirts that merge the PUMA and Nahmias logos with a touch of “racing DNA.” As PUMA says in a press release, this is a lineup of products offers a “fresh take on track-to-street style.”

According to Nahmias founder and creative director, Doni Nahmias, the choice of Leclerc for this campaign was a no-brainer, owing to the two’s long standing relationship. “Charles and I have been friends for a while now,” Nahmias tells Rolling Stone. “We have a lot of shared interests, like our love of wiener dogs and basketball, so it was an easy and natural friendship from the start.”

“When I began thinking about the campaign, I knew I wanted it to feel authentic; nothing forced or overly constructed,” he continues. “Charles made sense in that way. He’s also part of the PUMA family, so there was already a foundation there. Beyond that, he just carries the energy of the collection—effortless, sporty and luxury without trying too hard.”

PUMA x Nahmias CLRT Track Jacket

One of the standout pieces in the collection is this track jacket, which Nahmias says was inspired by something he’d wear to the basketball court or post-surfing in his hometown of Summerland, California. The jacket features a co-branded monogram throughout, with woven jacquard detailing and racing-inspired red and white stripes (perhaps a nod to Leclerc’s home country of Monaco?)

Nahmias has teamed up with PUMA before, and the designer says he’s inspired by the “shared set of values” between his brand and the athleticwear giant, especially “around authenticity and designing pieces that balance silhouettes and style.”

As for Leclerc, Nahmias says he’s constantly in awe of his friend and everything he continues to do both on and off the track. “Charles is an incredible driver and seeing everything he’s accomplished is always inspiring to me,” he says. “I connect with his spirit, and how he dreams and [how he] also is grounded and genuine.”

“Seeing two of my favorite brands collaborating on a joint collection is amazing,” Leclerc says in a statement. “[I am] proud to be part of it and happy to see this coming to life.”

PUMA x Nahmias Speedcat

The F1 driver is seen in campaign photos wearing the PUMA x Nahmias Speedcat sneaker in this “warm white,” sand and dark gray colorway. The collab re-imagines the iconic low-profile shoe with subtle distressing, suede trim and rope laces (rather than flat laces). The Speedcat signatures — like the rubber sole and rounded toe — remain intact. Choose from two other colorways online. The unisex sneaker is available in sizes 4 to 14. We recommending taking a half-size up as the shoe can run a little narrow.

You can see more from the PUMA x Nahmias capsule online at PUMA.com. As with all of Nahmias’ collaborations, this one is selling fast, so we recommend adding your favorite pieces to cart while sizes and colors are still available. While Nahmias says “PUMA is a naturally cool brand that’s been around forever,” these pieces won’t be in stock for long.

And while Leclerc currently calls Monaco home, there is one catch about the new collection: it’s currently only available in North America. Shop online here.
