Saatva Memorial Day 2026: Save Over $1,000 On Editor-Reco...
Tim Kohut · 2026-05-18 · via Latest Content - Popular Mechanics
  • Saatva’s affordable luxury mattresses just got even more reasonable.
  • Thanks to a PopMech-exclusive code, you can take 20% off orders of $1,000.
  • Save over $1,000 on select editor-tested mattresses through Memorial Day weekend.

I’m the resident sleepyhead at PopMech, and probably the biggest ambassador of what I think is the most important piece of technology: sleep tech. I’ve tested dozens of mattresses over the years, but there’s one brand that’s regularly stood out: Saatva. The brand hails itself as an affordable luxury brand, and they’re certainly not wrong. And right now, Saatva mattresses are more affordable than ever, thanks to a PopMech-exclusive Memorial Day code. Through May 25, you can take 20 percent off orders of $1,000 or more, which applies to every mattress on its site.

A lot of science and ingenuity go into Saatva’s mattresses, and each one is designed to tackle a specific problem. The brand successfully combines luxury comfort with a customized, health-focused approach tailored to each individual. This even includes the U.S. Olympic team, whose members slept on Saatva mattresses during the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. Paralympic Gold Medalist Noah Elliott and Olympic skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle sleep on Saatva mattresses regularly.

And while it is one of the more affordable premium customizable mattresses out there, the spec-heavy mattresses and complimentary glove service don’t typically come cheap, however, so any discount is notable. This is undoubtedly one of our favorite deals of 2026 thus far. Once you finally sleep on a Saatva, you’ll see why,

Conveniently, the code applies automatically at checkout when you use one of our links. Add your preferred mattress to the cart and proceed to checkout. You stand to save well over $1,000, depending on the mattress.

I’ve tested most of these mattresses in some capacity, and I’ve listed some of my favorites below; all of which are eligible for a discount. If there were ever a time to prioritize your sleep and long-term health, it would be now.

The Saatva Classic is a classic for a reason. If you’re a fan of traditional spring mattresses, it doesn’t get much better than this. Of all the Saatva mattresses I tested, this was by far my favorite. I’ve slept on hybrid memory foam mattresses for most of my adult life, and while this is technically a spring mattress, it adds memory foam to the coils for extra comfort. It also features a plush 3-inch Euro pillow top that helps relieve pressure, while Saatva’s patented Lumbar Zone Technology promotes healthy spinal alignment across a wide range of sleeping positions. It’s also available in three of Saatva’s best-selling comfort levels.

As someone who sleeps on both his side and back, I went with the Luxury Firm, which is their medium-firm option. It’s supportive enough lying down flat, and I don’t wake up in pain when I sleep on my bad shoulder (a regular occurrence with my old mattress). The Latex Pillow was also a game-changer, and I highly recommend the combo. If it’s good enough for Olympians, it’s good enough for me.

The Solaire Adjustable Firmness Mattress represents one of the brand’s most impressive innovations to date. With 50 adjustable firmness options, you can fully customize your sleep experience at the touch of a button. And with almost no motion transfer, it’s a great alternative for couples whose sleep schedules aren’t particularly aligned.

For those who prefer a customized memory foam sleep option, the new and improved Contour5 is a no-brainer. The proprietary gel-infused memory foam is coated with an ultra-breathable organic cotton cover, offering a cool, gentle sleep experience. And if you’re caught between the options above, you can always choose the Saatva Hybrid Memory Foam Mattress, which combines the best of both worlds for a supportive, responsive night's sleep.

The eco-friendly, organic Latex Hybrid Mattress is another hybrid option from Saatva, and highlights the brand’s commitment to sustainability. It utilizes a cool, natural latex in its five-zone foam layer, laid over individually wrapped coils. The cover is made from organic cotton and organic wool, providing a truly all-natural sleep experience.

Those suffering from chronic back or joint pain will also appreciate Saatva’s commitment to restorative sleep and recovery. The Saatva Rx is a favorite amongst our readers, and it’s specifically designed to relieve nagging aches and pains, such as sciatica, arthritis, herniated disc, and scoliosis. We’re fans of its ability to combine luxury comfort with science-backed relief components.

FAQs

Is Memorial Day a good time to buy a new mattress?

Of course. If anything, it might be the best time to buy. The brand typically has its biggest sales on Cyber Monday, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day, and this is undoubtedly one of the year’s better sales. Memorial Day weekend, specifically, is a major mattress savings event. This is one of the best deals out there, especially in the luxury department. A rare occurrence, sure, but we’re not complaining.

Can I return my Saatva mattress?

Absolutely. In fact, Saatva has one of the best return policies in the game. They give you a full year to test your mattress (for reference, most companies offer a 30- to 90-day trial). If you’re not completely satisfied, you just have to pay a $99 pickup fee to return it.

Each mattress is backed by a lifetime warranty. If your mattress is deemed defective within the first two years of use, the brand will replace the foundation at no cost. After three years, Saatva will repair and recover it for a $149 processing fee. Suffice to say, Saatva stands by its products, wholeheartedly.
