Dreame H15 Pro Heat vs. G10 Pro: The Ultimate Wet-Dry Vacuum Showdown
Lauren Bongard · 2026-04-29 · via Latest Content - Popular Mechanics
  • The H15 Pro Heat mops with hot water, removing stuck-on dirt easier than room-temperature water can.
  • The G10 Pro costs significantly less for everyday cleaning, making it a smart choice for less-grimy floors and tighter budgets.
  • Both machines are for hard floors, not replacements for a dedicated vacuum.

If you're still sweeping with a tired broom, or mopping with a bucket and traditional mop, hoping that they’re up to the challenge of extra-dirty floors, wet-dry vacuums are about to change your entire cleaning routine. These machines vacuum and deep mop simultaneously in a single pass, self-clean their own rollers, and handle messes like scattered pet hair and sticky kitchen spills—all without you getting your hands dirty.

Dreame makes some of the most reliable home cleaning appliances I’ve tried, like the X40 Ultra Robot Vacuum. I love it for its powerful suction, capable docking station, and friendly app. When it comes to wet-dry vacuums, the H15 Pro Heat and the G10 Pro are two of the brand’s most popular models. The H15 Pro Heat is the easy pick if you want the most capable wet-dry vacuum Dreame makes. Similar to a steam cleaner, it mops with hot water that dissolves grease and stubborn residue, auto-adjusts to mess levels, and self-cleans at temperatures hot enough to kill bacteria. Overall, it's a serious machine for serious messes.

That said, the G10 Pro is the right call if you want all the convenience of a wet-dry vacuum without the premium price tag. I like using it for everyday spills and debris, but it also keeps operation simple with no app required, and does it for a fraction of the cost.

If you're not sure which one suits your home, we compared them head-to-head so you can see the differences and discover which one deserves a spot in your cleaning routine.

Cleaning Performance

This is the biggest gap between these machines. The H15 Pro Heat warms water to 185 degrees Fahrenheit to dissolve stubborn residue—think greasy or dried-on cooking splatter, dried liquids, or the mysterious sticky spots your dog keeps licking. Its 22,000 Pa of suction is among the strongest in wet-dry vacuums, and the RGB sensor reads grime levels in real time and adjusts suction and water automatically, so it's always working at the right intensity. It cleans even the dirtiest floors in two or three passes and the surface dries within minutes.

The G10 Pro cleans with room-temperature water and no auto-adjustments, but it gets the job done for everyday tasks. It has 16,000 Pa of suction and dual edge-to-edge brushes that get right up against baseboards—something the H15 Pro Heat handles with its AI robotic arm.

One thing both machines share: they're hard-floor-only. The H15 Pro Heat is technically capable of suctioning dry debris off low-pile rugs, but I found that feature a little underwhelming. It’s the same story with the G10 Pro. So, if your home is carpeted, you’ll want a dedicated stick vac or upright vacuum.

Smart Features

The H15 Pro Heat's biggest smart feature is its GapFree AI robotic arm, which drops down when approaching a wall to capture crumbs along baseboards—a small feature that makes a big difference in how clean it gets your floors. Then there’s the RGB sensor that does the thinking for you on suction and water levels, and the DreameHome app that unlocks more customization: water flow, suction strength, scheduling, even the ability to guide the machine under furniture in lie-flat mode.

The G10 Pro has no app, no sensor, and no robotic arm, but honestly, that's fine. You pick your cleaning mode, press go, and it gets to work. For homeowners who'd rather not manage another connected device, the simplicity is more a selling point than a compromise. I did notice that the H15 Pro Heat's robotic arm isn't perfect—it sometimes drops at random moments mid-clean rather than only at walls, which interrupts the machine's glide and takes some getting used to.

Self-Cleaning

Both machines self-clean when docked, but the H15 Pro Heat kicks it up a notch. It washes the roller at 212°F to kill bacteria, then hot-air dries it at 194°F to prevent mold and odors between uses. The cycle is automatic, and it’s nice to never have to hand-wash the roller.

The G10 Pro's self-cleaning is simpler—dock it, press the button, and done—and it works well enough for everyday use. It dries the roller, too. It just doesn't sanitize at the same level as the H15.

Battery Life and Runtime

The H15 Pro Heat claims a 60-minute runtime, but when I used it in hot water mode—the whole point of this fancier machine—it usually lasted 15 to 20 minutes. You can clean in shifts, but that can feel rushed on larger jobs or in larger homes.

The G10 Pro's 35-minute runtime is shorter but more consistent. There's no power-hungry heat mode to burn through the battery faster than you expect. That’s enough time to clean a smaller home on a single charge, but larger spaces may still need a pit stop.

Price

The price gap is significant, and it’s hard to ignore. The H15 Pro Heat has a list price around $650, while the G10 Pro lists around $230. That's about a $400 difference, and whether it's worth it comes down to how often you face the kind of messes where hot water matters.

The H15 Pro Heat earns its premium pricing in kitchens and households where floors get really, stubbornly dirty on the regular and need sanitation rather than just a quick tidy-up. Anything less, and you may find the inexpensive model does just what you need it to.

Final Thoughts

These two machines do the same basic job—vacuum and mop in a single pass, then clean themselves so you don’t have to. But they're aimed at pretty different buyers.

If your floors see abuse from kids, pets, heavy foot traffic, a busy kitchen, and the kind of sticky messes that cold water and a regular mop just smear around, I recommend the H15 Pro Heat. The hot water mopping isn't a gimmick; it's a better way to clean. Just go in knowing heat mode burns through the battery fast, and budget time to set up the app. It's worth it even if the initial pairing takes some patience.

If your floors mostly see everyday debris and the occasional spill, the G10 Pro is an excellent, no-frills machine that punches well above its price. It's simple, effective, and self-cleaning. No, it won't dissolve grease or sanitize the way the H15 does, but for a lot of households, it gives you all you need.

Either way, you're getting a machine that replaces your broom, vacuum, and mop in one pass—and that's a pretty good deal at any price point.
