We write about a lot of multitools here at PopMech, yet of all the brands we test, Leatherman is one that consistently finds its way to the top of our coverage. So when Amazon Prime Day rolls around and we’re looking for fun new additions to our EDC, it’s also one of our most searched-for items.
Leatherman has a 40-year history of turning out tools with superior build quality from its Portland, Oregon, factory, all of which have a 25-year warranty attached. Its multitools include blades made with superior steel, drivers that come with a panel of alternate bits, and a host of other tools you’ll actually use—there’s essentially no filler.
Right now, several of its most popular models are on sale, including the Wave Plus, Wingman, and Rebar, for up to 40 percent off.

The Charge+ TTI is an example of what Leatherman does best: it’s designed for heavy-duty use, with 19 tools made of top-quality materials, and yet it’s lightweight enough for EDC at only 8.9 pounds. Highlights include a straight-edge drop-point blade made of S30V steel which has superior edge retention, and a serrated knife—both of which can be locked into place and deployed one-handed.

It features all-stainless steel construction with 17 tools and weighs a mere 6.7 ounces, though perhaps its best-known for its replaceable wire cutters — a first for the brand in any of its four-inch multitools.

The Wingman may have fewer tools than the options we write about above, but don’t let that fool you into thinking this affordable multitool isn’t worth a look. It focuses on the basics and practicality, featuring a combo knife, a Phillips screwdriver, and a super-handy package opener. Right now it’s on sale for $50 down from $70, so grab it while you can.
