A good wireless gaming headset is hard to come by, but when SteelSeries enters the mix, all bets are off. You know you’re getting the best of the best. Price is the obvious caveat here, but we have good news in that department: one of the best SteelSeries headsets on the market is almost $150 off on the first day of Prime Day.
The Arctis Nova Pros are currently $250 on Amazon—a far cry from their usual near-$400 pricetag. This isn’t all that shocking for those familiar with SteelSeries—the brand’s top option, the Arctis Nova Elite, goes for $600. The Nova Pros are a couple of years older, but offer the same immersive audio at what is now essentially 1/3 of the price.
My colleague, gaming journalist veteran Mike Epstein, has tested and used both options regularly. He considers the Nova Pro a massive innovation in the space, and adds that his slightly older, battle-tested headset is still his go-to option for most gamers.
“The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro is a few years old at this point, but it is still my go-to gaming headset recommendation if you want luxe, fully featured game audio,” Epstein explained. “It has some incredible tech, including hot-swappable batteries, and the ability to switch between multiple devices on the fly via a digital hub. If you have a PS5 and Xbox Series X or S, get the Xbox version for a true multiplatform wireless experience that very few headsets provide. It normally costs a pretty penny—the newer Nova Pro Omni will set you back $400, so $250 is a steal, even if it's a relatively high price compared to many other headsets.”
AI-powered noise cancellation, 360° Spatial Audio, and a fully customizable sound experience via SteelSeries’ groundbreaking pro-grade gaming Parametric EQ offer best-in-class sound. Dual audio streams also allow you to chat with friends, game, and use Bluetooth for calls, Discord, and music simultaneously. In other words, it’s no longer a one or the other type deal.
All things considered, $250 for one of our top-tested (and most used) headsets is a fantastic long-term purchase. You won’t need another wireless headset for a decade—or at least, until the next Prime Day.
