C5 OLED TV

Pros

  • Excellent picture quality with stellar brightness
  • Superb gaming performance
  • Plenty of connectivity features

Cons

  • The screen could use anti-reflective coating

The LG C5 is the OLED we’d recommend to most people, most of the time. It offers a perfect balance of beautiful design, excellent picture quality, a feature-packed platform, and a wide array of connectivity features. And you get all that for a very reasonable price—a 65-inch set costs less than $1,500. That’s still a premium TV price, but there are less impressive models that cost more.

With a higher peak luminosity and a glare-free certification than its predecessor, the OLED panel in the LG C5 excels in dynamic living room spaces, including sun-drenched rooms with large windows. It also has a speedier processor with superior neural processing and graphics, but the brighter screen is the key feature here.

The intuitive webOS platform of the LG C5 offers not only all streaming services but also easy access to high-quality gameplay. It allows the TV to deliver high-quality cloud-based gameplay via Nvidia GeForce Now, so all you need is a controller and a subscription to get started. That’s in addition to the TV linking perfectly to the latest consoles and doubling as a superb gaming monitor.

LG offers the C5 in more screen sizes than any other OLED TV on the market. You can choose between a compact 42-inch unit or a cinema-worthy 83-inch device, with four more screen size options sitting between them.

In April, 2026, LG has launched the next version of the LG C-series, the LG C6, which delivers improved performance and brighter panel. While the performance is better, we currently urge caution before buying the new model, as it costs about twice as much as the C5. It’s better, but not that much better, so I recommend picking up a C5 now while prices are low.

B5 OLED TV

Pros

  • Excellent picture quality
  • Rich set of connectivity features
  • Top-tier gaming performance

Cons

  • Peak brightness lags behind that of pricier offerings

With a 55-inch variant starting below $1,000 before deals and discounts, the LG B5 lowers the bar for entry into the realm of amazing picture quality with infinite contrast and punchy colors. Despite the low price tag, the B5 isn’t lacking in sought-after features, such as a high-refresh-rate screen and a rich set of connectivity options, to name a couple. That said, more expensive OLED TVs have higher peak brightness, which results in superior visuals in bright spaces.

The TV’s gaming capabilities belie its price tag. The LG B5 is not only a proficient console or PC display with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync support, but also a reliable gaming platform on its own. LG’s webOS platform supports cloud gaming, so all you need is a wireless controller, an Nvidia GeForce Now subscription, and a decent internet speed to enjoy blockbuster games on the device.

LG webOS also makes the B5 OLED TV super easy to integrate into any connected home setup and control with voice commands from your preferred virtual assistant. The TV is also an excellent platform for streaming content from mobile devices.

You can order the LG B5 with a screen size up to 83 inches. Currently retailing for less than $2,000, the 83-inch model is an incredible bargain for a big-screen OLED TV.

Bravia 8 II 4K OLED TV

Pros

  • Phenomenal picture quality and color reproduction
  • Excellent gaming performance
  • Comes with free premium content

Cons

  • Only two screen sizes

Sony's new flagship TV, the Bravia 8 II OLED TV, is the very definition of a luxury TV. Its design, onboard features, and, most importantly, picture quality are worth spending big on, budget permitting. Featuring a super bright quantum dot-enhanced OLED (QD-OLED) panel, the Google TV-powered device can produce stunningly vivid colors even by this high-end product category’s standards.

While we like LG's standard OLEDs as a general option, the hybrid display allows the Bravia 8 II to get very bright and enhances the color and visibility of its picture. Even compared to other hybrids, like Samsung's, it stands out, especially with Dolby Vision content.

A movie studio-grade picture mode, which taps into Sony’s long history in movie-making, is another premium feature that should have the Bravia 8 II on your radar, especially if you are a cinema buff. To top things off, the Sony Picture Core app preloaded on the TV comes with two years of movie streaming, along with credits to watch 10 newly released titles for free.

Being a Sony product, the Bravia 8 II is also a perfect sidekick for the PlayStation 5. The TV can calibrate its picture and HDR settings based on the games you play, unlike its competitors.

When it comes to sound, the Bravia 8 II delivers an experience that defies its slim and elegant build, courtesy of a technology dubbed Acoustic Surface Audio+. The latter, as its name hints, transforms the TV’s entire screen into an audio source for a more immersive audio experience. And when teamed up with a Sony soundbar, the feature enhances its output as well.

S95F 4K OLED TV

Pros

  • Amazing picture quality, including in brightly lit spaces
  • Top-notch AI upscaling tech
  • Excellent gaming performance

Cons

  • No Dolby Vision support

The Samsung S95F is undeniably expensive, but it's a beautiful screen with the brightness necessary to stand up to the glare of sunlit living rooms, which makes it worth every penny if you want to put it in a sunroom or any space with lots of large windows. The picture doesn't wash out and become hard to see when light shines on it, even if there's a lamp or a window directed its way.

Predictably, the Samsung S95F looks exceptional. Its supremely bright display makes the most out of its millions of individually backlit pixels. The captivating visuals it produces in any lighting, together with its sophisticated upscaling tech powered by AI, sufficiently make up for the TV's lack of Dolby Vision HDR support.

In a manner befitting its price tag, the S95F is also a gaming powerhouse, capable of seamlessly linking to gaming PCs and consoles and delivering smooth gameplay with a refresh rate of up to 165 hertz. Similarly to its rivals from LG, the TV can also deliver a top-notch cloud gaming experience. It features a Microsoft Xbox Game Pass app, allowing subscribers to stream games directly to the TV without an Xbox console. All you need is an Xbox controller.

If you don't prioritize an anti-reflective screen and peak display brightness, the tech giant's S90F OLED TV is a stellar alternative with a lower cost and more screen size options.

G5 OLED TV

The LG G5 is one of the best OLED TVs out there and hands down the best looking when mounted on your wall. When installed on its included mount, this ultra-slim set sits flush against a wall with practically no gap. This unique setup, in tandem with its slim bezels, ensures the LG G5 seamlessly fits into any home decor. A regular stand for the TV costs extra and would take away its charm, so we wouldn’t recommend it unless you plan to install it on its wall mount.

In a manner befitting its striking design and hefty price, the LG G5 OLED TV delivers outstanding picture quality. Its OLED panel features brightness-boosting technology, enabling it to produce stunning visuals even in bright rooms. The LG G5 is brighter than its rivals on this list and second only to the Samsung S95F in managing direct light reflections. If the latter is not a factor in your decision, get the G5.

Similarly to the lower-priced C5 mentioned, the flagship LG G5 is also jam-packed with future-proof connectivity features, capable of delivering a superb gaming experience, including from a cloud service, and easy to integrate into a smart home setup.

The G5 is available with up to a 97-inch screen—the largest size option for an OLED. For a few dollars below $25,000 before tax, the 97-inch LG G5 is also the most expensive 2025 OLED TV.
