A toolkit in your pocket shouldn’t be as expensive as the real thing. Multitools are a convenient alternative for your real tool set in a pinch, but many of the best we’ve tested are practically the same cost. During Amazon’s Prime Day sales event, taking place right now through the end of the day on June 16, several brands we’ve tested and recommend are offering a number of multitools for a significantly discounted price.
This includes our former best overall pick and current pick for slimmest profile, the Victorinox Spirit X multitool. On sale right now for nearly 25 percent off, the multitool is currently at the lowest price it has ever been listed at on Amazon.

One of the things I like the most about the Spirit X is that all of the tools fold from the outside. This means you don’t have to open up both plier handles to gain access to the full suite of options. The multitool also has a screwdriver that’s over an inch long and is made of stainless steel. This is a notable difference from the majority of other multitools that feature a small removable bit that connects to a small magnetic port that barely stick out from the body. Because it’s solid steel, there isn’t any wiggle when you use it like there often is with a detachable bit. The longer neck also helps reach into tight spaces that the wider body wouldn’t be able to fit. The Spirit X has both a Phillips head and flat head option.
The multitool is also notably slimmer than other multitools we’ve tested including our best overall pick, the Leatherman Arc. This makes it much easier to carry around with you casually in a pocket or in the center console of your car. If you’ve been waiting to get yourself a multitool that’s worth the money, there’s no better time to get the biggest bang for your buck than right now.
