Amazon Prime Day is still rolling through Friday, June 26, and it’s a really good time to buy a TV. At a time when prices on tech are rising across the board, we’re finding solid deals on brand-new TVs, gaming hardware, and more. My latest find is a discount on a mid-tier TCL, the QM7L SQD Mini-LED, which is down to $1,100 for a 65-inch set on Prime Day. (That’s 38 percent off its standard retail price.) I’m actually in the process of testing this exact TV right now, and I think it’s worth a second look if you’re TV shopping this week.
The QM7L features the same “super quantum dot” display technology as the pricier TCL QM8L I tested earlier this year. The feature, an enhanced version of Quantum Dot technology, enhances color and brightness to improve image quality.
Though it doesn’t offer quite as much punch as the TV I tested, the QM7L is still a rock-solid contender: With a Mini-LED panel that gets pretty bright—up to 3,000 nits across 2,100 local dimming zones—it generates a captivating picture and delivers great bang for your buck, especially at this price.
And if you want to go big, both the 85- and 98-inch QM7Ls will net you even bigger savings. The 85-inch set is $800 off, and the 98-inch is down a whopping $1,500 below MSRP. Obviously, not everyone has room for such large TVs at home, but if that’s the upgrade you’re looking for? These are downright cheap and will look good in that sweet home theater you’re building.
