Grab the ‘World’s Fastest’ Gaming Keyboard at Nearly 50% ...

  • SteelSeries makes some of our favorite gaming accessories, and we’ve found a few standout deals this Prime Day.
  • Right now, it’s “stupidly fast” Apex Pro Mini Keyboard is nearly 50%.
  • Nab the streamlined version of our favorite gaming keyboard for under $150 before Prime Day is over.

A good gaming keyboard might be the difference between life and death—virtually, that is. You gain a sizeable advantage over other gamers with a workhorse keyboard. If you’re more of a solo gamer, it still makes for a better user experience overall.

The best gaming keyboards can be pricey, but they’re usually worth it. If you can save a few bucks on ‘em, even better. Right now, you can save more than a few bucks. SteelSeries’s best-selling Apex Pro Mini Wireless Keyboard is nearly 50 percent off at the tail end of Prime Day. If you’ve been holding off on an upgrade, you'd better run to this deal.

Apex Pro Mini Wireless HyperMagnetic Gaming Keyboard

SteelSeries touts the Apex Pro Mini as the “fastest keyboard in the world,” and it has the numbers to back it up. SteelSeries says its keyboard features 20x faster actuation and an 11x faster response than traditional mechanical keyboards. It features proprietary OmniPoint 2.0 Adjustable HyperMagnetic switches that use state-of-the-art magnetic sensors for rapid response and smooth play.

The keys also don’t operate at a fixed point, which is a huge game-changer; the Apex switches through dynamic activation and deactivation of keys based on calculated travel distance. This is also fully customizable; you can adjust the registration distance of your keystrokes to the nearest 0.1MM. There are 40 activations in total, ranging from 0.1 to 4.0mm. You can also program two different actions to a single key, each activated by the degree of your touch (i.e., a full press or a light touch).

We also love this particular model because of its streamlined design. It’s a 60 percent keyboard, which in layman’s terms is just the meat and potatoes of the keyboard. Nonetheless, it still features full size functionality, which isn’t always the case with 60 percent devices.

SteelSeries makes some of the best gaming accessories out there, and we’re huge fans of its groundbreaking line of headsets (the Arctis Nova Pros are also on sale). The lone caveat, really, is price—these can be tough to recommend at full sticker value. But at nearly 50 percent off—and well under $150—this is an absolute no-brainer. Have we steered you wrong before?
