Ubuntu Summit 26.04 is coming: Save the date and share yo...
ilvipero (ilvipero) · 2026-04-03 · via Blog

Following the incredible success of Ubuntu Summit 25.10, we are thrilled to announce that Ubuntu Summit 26.04 is officially on the horizon.

If you are new to the Ubuntu community, every new release of Ubuntu comes with an Ubuntu Summit – an event that takes place twice a year and serves as a showcase of the absolute best in open source innovation from around the world. Our hub in London hosts the talks, which are then streamed live, across the world.

Whether you are a seasoned open source innovator, or you just installed your very first open source operating system, this summit is built for you. We are bringing the global circle of friends together once again, and we want you to be a part of it.

Why you should submit a talk 📝

The Ubuntu Summit is a showcase for the innovative and the ambitious! We are looking to spotlight the projects that are challenging the status quo, and demonstrating that the best engineering can be done in the open. If your work is pushing the boundaries of technology, this is your perfect stage to amplify its impact. Stepping up to the podium means putting your project directly in front of a massive, highly engaged audience that is always hungry for new solutions. Bring your biggest ideas and your deepest technical dives, and watch your work resonate across the global tech community.

Your presentation will not only captivate the room, but will also reach developers worldwide through our channels, driving awareness and sparking meaningful conversations long after the closing keynote.

The Call for Papers is officially open, so submit your proposal today and let us help you share your vision with the world.

Bring the Summit to your city 🌍

The magic of the Ubuntu community happens when people connect. That is why Ubuntu Summit Extended is back!

Ubuntu Summit Extended events are local gatherings that coincide with the Ubuntu Summit. Bring the energy of the Ubuntu Summit right to your living room, your local hackerspace, or your university. Hosting an Ubuntu Summit Extended event is simply about gathering a few friends, throwing the stream on a screen, and sharing some food and ideas. We had watch parties across the world last year, and we want to see even more local communities light up the map with the orange circle of friends for the Ubuntu Summit 26.04. Ready to host? Register your Ubuntu Summit Extended event today.

Your next steps 📅

The clock is ticking, and we are ready to see what you will bring to the table. Head over to the Ubuntu Summit website to submit your talk proposal or register your local Extended watch party.
