Uttar Pradesh has partnered with Pune-based BVG India to develop a new eco-tourism destination near Dudhwa National Park. The tourism infrastructure at Chandan Chowki in Lakhimpur Kheri district is being developed and maintained under a public–private partnership with the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board.
As part of the initiative, BVG India is developing the ‘BVG India Resort’, which is scheduled to be fully operational by March 2026. Spread across five acres, the eco-friendly resort will anchor the Chandan Chowki eco-tourism project and position the area as a nature-led destination focused on wellness and local culture.
Designed with an emphasis on low-impact and environmentally sensitive development, the resort blends into its forest surroundings while offering modern hospitality amenities. It will feature multiple accommodation options, along with recreational facilities, food and beverage services and spaces for small conferences and social gatherings, catering to leisure travellers, wildlife enthusiasts, families and corporate groups.
Under the partnership, BVG India will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, financing and operating the resort and wellness centre. The scope includes operation and maintenance of accommodation and allied facilities, securing statutory approvals and permissions, and undertaking marketing and promotional activities. The project aims to offer visitors an integrated experience combining wellness and wildlife tourism.
