Wonderla Chennai, the amusement park chain’s first facility in Tamil Nadu, has recorded revenues of ₹12 crore in its first month of operations.
The park saw over 75,000 visitors in December compared to a three month (October-December) footfall of 3 lakh in Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, 2 lakh in Kochi and 20,000 in Bhubaneshwar.
“The Chennai park saw strong guest response in its very first month of operations. This outcome reflects disciplined execution across park operations, sales planning, and on-ground readiness, supported by focused pre-launch marketing and pricing strategies,” said Arun Chittilappilly, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Wonderla Holidays
It also posted an Average Ticket Price of ₹1,126, the highest among all of the company’s parks including Bengaluru (1,491), Hyderabad (1,234), Kochi (1,367) and Bhubaneshwar (1,134). Average Non Ticket price stood at ₹470.
Wonderla Chennai was inaugurated by TN Chief Minister MK Stalin early last month. Built with an investment of around ₹611 crore the park is expected to generate 1,000 jobs. Spanning 65 acres and comprising 43 rides , the park can entertain up to 6,500 visitors everyday.
