G Square Group, the Chennai-based real estate developer, is reviving industrial plot development after a gap of nearly five years with plans to sell properties worth around ₹2,000 crore in this fiscal. In the residential side, it plans to sell plots worth around ₹,5000 crore, Bala Ramajayam, Founder and Managing Director, G Square, told businessline on the sidelines of the launch of G Square Kshetra project at Karanodai - off the Chennai-Kolkata highway.

On Saturday, the company launched an industrial plot development in Gummudipoondi bordering Andhra Pradesh. It also plans to soon launch an industrial plot development in Coimbatore, he said.

In FY26 fiscal, the company sold residential properties, including plots, villas and apartments, worth ₹4,000 crore, he said. G Square Group has over 20,000 customers and has aggregated more than 5,000 acres in various places, including Chennai and Coimbatore, he said.

“We could not sell industrial plots in the last five years due to various reasons, including lack of support from the government,” said Ramajayam. “However, this year we are bullish on this sector this year,” he added, saying the new government is giving all support for this sector.

The land aggregator since 2006 has sold plots to leading companies JK Tyre, CEAT, LG, Murugappa Group, Tata Realty and Ascendas, he said.

G Square Kshetra, which Ramajayam said was the company’s 119th projects, is priced at a special launch price of ₹1,890 per sq ft onwards for the first 50 bookings only - which is 50 per cent lower than the prevailing market rates of ₹4,000-₹6,000 per sq. ft. in and around the corridor, he said.

G Square Group has introduces a unique value challenge: “Found a Lower Price than Ours? Get the Plot for Just ₹1.” Applicable within a 3 km travel radius from the project, the initiative reinforces G Square Kshetra’s strong value proposition, unmatched pricing, and confidence in offering one of the most competitively priced plotted developments in the region, he said.

The company has postponed the IPO plans to 2029 from 2028 due to market conditions, he said.
