Chennai-based Intellect Design Arena Ltd has announced the launch of Academic TeamSpace to enable colleges and universities to operationalise AI for learning and research.
As part of the initiative, Intellect signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six institutes, including University of Stirling (Ras (UAE), SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Sairam Institutions, Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology, Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management and Lloyd Institute of Engineering & Technology.
The MoU with these institutions intends to establish an Academic TeamSpace hub that will serve as a shared AI innovation environment for academic institutions.
Through Academic TeamSpace, the company aims to provide students, faculty and research teams an environment to deploy AI agents, powered by Purple Fabric, Intellects’s Business Impact AI platform, along with the ability for institutions to design and configure custom agents aligned to academic, research and administrative needs.
“Academic TeamSpace is designed to give institutions access to the same governed, enterprise-grade AI architecture used in production environments. We are creating a shared innovation infrastructure where campuses can collaborate, experiment responsibly and translate AI from theory into measurable impact,” said Arun Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Intellect Design Arena.
“Education must move beyond teaching AI as a subject and instead enable students to experience AI as a system of thinking, designing and solving real problems. Academic TeamSpace brings together Design Thinking and Enterprise AI in a governed environment where learning becomes experiential,” said Anbu Rathinavel, Chief DesignOfficer at Intellect Design Arena.
