Tamil Nadu state board SSLC results for 2025-26 academic year were officially released on Wednesday, and 94.31 per cent of all the students who appeared for the exam passed.

This is 0.51 per cent higher than the previous academic year.

Pudukkottai district secured the highest pass percentage of 97.57, followed by Sivaganga, which registered 97.54 pass percentage. However, Chennai was placed at 29th position with a total pass percentage of 92.34.

Releasing the results, School Education Minister Rajmohan said a total of 8,70,643 students (4,35,247 girls and 4,35,396 boys) have appeared for the exams this year.

He said the pass percentage of girls is 96.47, and the boys secured 92.15 per cent pass. According to the minister, a total of 5,171 schools have achieved 100 per cent pass.

The minister further said that a total of 10,476 students have secured centum in science, and 3,336 candidates have got a hundred marks in social science. As many as 3,194 students in mathematics, 92 students in English, and 34 in Tamil got centum marks, he added.
